Just in time for Aliens: Colonial Marines comes this incredible inside look at everyone's favorite Conestoga Class Carrier. Illustrator Graham Langridge whose work
was recently featured in The Alien Vault has created this detailed schematic of the Sulaco now available as a large scale print:
Joining Sideshow's show-stopping line of Predator collectibles is the Predator Statue, commemorating the first glimpse of

and finished, each with its own unique quality and detail that is the trademark of a handcrafted Sideshow Collectibles product.

Nostromo Self-Destruct Key Replica
We've been asked to help get the word out about this upcoming replica created with direct access to the original:
These replicas will be created with full access to an original detonator from the collection of Bill Pearson, the miniature effects supervisor on Alien. The original detonators were machined in Brian Johnson and Nick Alder's Special Effect workshop at Bray Studios, where Bill's miniatures crew had set up shop. The detonators were seen when Sigourney Weaver screws them into place to initiate the Nostromo's self-destruct sequence, before her escape to the Narcissus.
Bill was kind enough to allow us to borrow the original detonator so we could create these exact replicas. The dimensions, materials and finish will be identical to the real deal.
These will be made 100% the same the main body will be machined from soild ALU and Brass and Acrylic tip.
On official website for the upcoming book, The Alien Vault has been set up by the publisher and 20th Century Fox
For over thirty years, audiences have been simultaneously captivated and appalled as the spaceship Nostromo is invaded and its crew stalked by a terrifying parasitic creature. From the gore of the infant alien bursting from Kanes chest to the mounting claustrophobia as Ripley discovers the monster has followed her into the escape shuttle, Alien is a chilling masterpiece.
Now, Alien Vault: The Definitive Story of the Making of the Film opens a portal into the making of this legendary film, tracing its path from embryonic concept to fully fledged box office phenomenon.
Featured herein are director Ridley Scotts own annotated storyboards, Polaroids and script pages; the elegant but disturbing concept artwork of H.R. Giger; sketches and construction blueprints for the Nostromo; costume designs by Moebius; a treasure trove of never-before-seen photographs of the cast and crew; and ten meticulously reproduced artifacts, enclosed in vellum envelopes, for readers to remove and examine more closely.
Fully authorized and illustrated throughout, Alien Vault is the ultimate tribute to a movie that changed cinema forever.

New Look for alienscollection.com
Hopefully you've noticed our new look when you logged on to the site today. While everything you're looking at has been a team effort, none of this would have been possible without our friend Mike Rush.
Mike is without a doubt one of the most talented graphic artists working today, and his knowledge and skill in the world of Aliens illustration is unparalleled. We will never be able to thank
him enough for all his time and effort, putting up with us, and for being one of the nicest all around good guys out there.
Mike, we're forever in your debt, so one last time: thanks again for everything.
I also want to give a huge shout out to Igor Tkac of Concept Ships, a showcase featuring the
work of some of the most incredible sci-fi and tech artists working today. If you're a fan of Aliens, Predator, concept art, stunning animations, or simply
sci-fi tech design, a trip over to Concept Ships is absolutely well worth your time. Based on Syd Mead's Sulaco concept painting, Igor designed our new animated header, and if you like that, hopefully you'll like what we've got planned for the future.
A few notes on the redesign: you'll notice the left hand gutter/column under the Weyalnd-Yutani logo is relatively empty. Consider that our "under construction" area as we continue working on
a new, fun, and interactive feature Aliens fans will hopefully get a kick out of. Also, it's going to take a little while to get all the content pages properly coded to reflect the new
look - so please bear with us as we get busy coding and updating all the interior collection pages and more.
I also want to thank both Tom Gray of M41A.com, and our old friend Hans Kim for both of their work on the previous two versions of this site. Their designs still echo in the new look, and without them, we never would have made it this far - so thanks again
Hans and Tom, we owe ya big time.
Finally, wanted to say thanks to all of you for visiting. This site would be nothing without all our visitors, contributors and fans - your support over the years has meant everything and
continues to be the reason we keep on going. As we launch this new iteration of alienscollection.com, we'd love to hear what you think of the redesign, good or bad, and as always welcome your
suggestions and contributions.
Thanks again and stay frosty,
